ENTRY & EXIT PROCEDURES

ARRIVAL IN NAMIBIA

Entering Namibia is a straightforward process. Upon arrival, all travellers are required to complete an immigration card. Please note that if you arrive by air, you may encounter long queues, especially when multiple flights arrive simultaneously. However, once you reach the immigration counter, the process is typically efficient. The same applies if you are entering Namibia via one of its land borders, so ensure you have all necessary documentation on hand.

Most nationalities, including citizens of the UK, USA, Australia, Japan, and Western European countries, do not need a visa for entry. If you are traveling with children, it is important to carry their birth certificates and any other required documents. For specific visa and travel requirements, we recommend consulting your local immigration office.

Fill in Immigration Card upon arrival.

PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS

All visitors to Namibia must possess a passport that remains valid for at least six months beyond their planned departure date from Namibia. Additionally, it is advisable to have several blank pages in your passport for immigration stamps, especially if you intend to visit Victoria Falls in Zambia and Zimbabwe. In theory, proof of departure in the form of a return or onward ticket should also be held.

VISA INFORMATION

Visas are generally not necessary for most nationalities visiting Namibia. Nationals from various countries, including Australia, the European Union member states, the USA, and most Commonwealth nations, do not require a visa to enter Namibia. However, citizens of certain Eastern European countries may need to obtain a visa. Tourists are typically granted an initial 90-day stay, although immigration officials may inquire about your intended duration in the country and adjust your visa accordingly.
